These terms apply to this website and to products and services bought from Labyrinth Works. "We" and "us" mean Labyrinth Works LLC, a Connecticut limited liability company. By using the site or buying from us, you agree to these terms.
1. This website
This site describes our business, products and services. It is provided as is, for information. We try to keep it accurate but do not promise it is complete or current.
2. Products
Each product has its own website and may have its own terms of use, which apply alongside these terms when you use that product. If they conflict, the product's own terms apply to use of that product.
3. Purchases through Paddle
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the merchant of record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Paddle's buyer terms apply to your purchase.
Prices are shown at checkout, including or plus any applicable tax as Paddle calculates it for your location.
4. Subscriptions
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the link in your Paddle receipt, at paddle.net, or by emailing us. Cancelling stops future renewals, and you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. If a price changes, we will tell you before it applies to your next renewal.
5. Patreon
Memberships bought on Patreon are also subject to Patreon's terms. Benefits for each tier are described on our Patreon page.
6. Refunds

7. Acceptable use
Do not use our site or products to break the law, to attack or overload our systems, to access accounts or data that are not yours, or to resell access without our written permission. We may suspend access for serious or repeated misuse, and will refund any unused prepaid period unless the misuse was fraud.
8. Ownership
We own our software, content and brand. Buying a product gives you a licence to use it as described, not ownership of the software. Content you put into a product stays yours.
Names and trademarks of other companies and games mentioned on this site, including Star Citizen, belong to their owners. Our products are independent and are not affiliated with or endorsed by them unless we say so.
9. Freelance work
Freelance projects are covered by a written quote or agreement that sets out the scope, price, payment terms and ownership of the work. Where that agreement differs from these terms, the agreement applies.
For IT support work, billed by time: you get an estimate before work starts. Before we work on a device or system, back up anything you cannot afford to lose, or ask us to do it first. We are not responsible for data that was already lost or unrecoverable, or for problems caused by hardware failure or by third-party products and services. Equipment is covered by its manufacturer's warranty.
We do not provide cybersecurity services. That includes security audits, penetration testing, compliance work, and incident or breach response. We set up the standard protections that come with the systems we install, such as updates, strong passwords and backups, but we are not your security provider, and if you need one we will refer you.
10. Warranties and liability
We build carefully and fix problems promptly, but our software is provided without warranties beyond those the law requires. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by contract.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
12. Changes
We may update these terms and will change the effective date above when we do. Changes do not apply to a billing period you have already paid for.
